Once, a well-known businessman invited me to visit him. After showing me around his territory—a gigantic garden and a house—he offered me a seat in front of the fountain. Which, by the way, was brazenly beautiful. And the generous flow of water created the perfect atmosphere for conversation.

After getting comfortable in his chair, the businessman asked me a question that forever changed my perception of business, sales, and marketing.

The question was as follows:

“Alex, why do you think rich people like fountains?”

Hm…

‘What nonsense…” I thought.

Maybe I’m an Einstein to answer similar questions?

Maybe this is some kind of checkup???

Maybe it’s a test?

Maybe it’s business-related????

Because my interlocutor is a businessman…

And you, reader, what do you think?

M?

Answer: why do rich people like fountains?

why do rich people like fountains

Where is your answer?

M?

Since I didn’t know what to answer, I asked for an explanation.

The businessman smiled and stated, “the fountains represent an endless flow of money or a constant source of clients. Metaphorically speaking, in order to be successful, you need to build a digital fountain online that flows with clients, generating continuous sales 24/7… morning and night.”

That’s not all.

After loading a Google search, the interlocutor pointed to the world’s largest natural fountain and geyser, which can be found in Switzerland.

geyser which can be found in Switzerland

He also told me about the famous Roman fountain, where tourists EVEEEEERY YEAR throw over a million, penny after penny… Gatsby himself would be jealous… uhhhhhh…

The legendary Trevi Fountain in Rome

The legendary Trevi Fountain in Rome. In 2016, over $1.5 million was raised.

As if that wasn’t enough, the interlocutor began to explain how the fountains work. He showed diagrams, technologies, principles of functioning…

how the fountains work

The interlocutor explained how fountains work without electricity. He talked about the old days when fountain makers relied on gravity, directing water from higher ground in a closed system to create pressure. It was all exciting and new. I have never considered how fountains work, and I have never thought that how they work perfectly explains what you need to do to triple, tenfold your success in business.

And then I learned that there are two types of fountains/springs:

(a) Some require electricity and constant maintenance, which costs LOTS and LOTS of money.
(b) Others are natural fountains that gush forth “organically” because someone once DID A DEEP BOREHOLE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.

I hope you understand the metaphors? What is a deep borehole? After all, in business, you can also make a deep borehole, in the right place… Or you can make it in the wrong place…

The main message is that if you want to advertise your business, it’s best to do it with the LOWEST FUTURE MAINTENANCE method of advertising.

SO THE LOWER the maintenance and the bigger the fountain, the more successful you will be, OF COURSE IF YOU’VE GOT SOMETHING TO SALE.

I repeat, the less maintenance required and the more the fountain of visitors to your website gushes, the more successful you are, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO SELL.

Oh yes, I was shocked by the words spoken by the INTERLOCUTOR. I thought, “What if I create a permanent spring/fountain that gushes wide and hiiiiiiiigh? BUT, in this case, I will no longer have to sell, but only serve?”

I found this idea appealing because I was already tired of sales at that time. You wouldn’t believe it, but in those days I was selling services in the city centre as a regular salesman. After taking the trolley to Liberty Avenue, I was grinding through the shops screaming, “Who needs a website?!”

Eh…

I used to offer website development services as if I were selling cucumbers…

Everything happens.

Because I didn’t like pushy sales and I hated cold calling, I PROMISED MYSELF TO CREATE A SOURCE OF CUSTOMERS SO THAT CUSTOMERS WOULD FIND AND EMAIL ME THEMSELVES, INSTEAD OF ME LOOKING FOR THEM.

So, I decided to do my best to achieve this goal. I wanted to get started right away, so I asked the interlocutor to explain how to make a fountain, which he himself told me about. But he diverted his speech… as if he didn’t want to give away his last socks (the most important secrets of success).

When saying goodbye, I pointed out that I liked his fountain, and…

Infinite source of clients (fountains)

So I decided to figure out how to create a source of clients that required as little maintenance as possible.

I got addicted to this idea. I was obsessed with this idea.

I have devoted several years to this issue. I went to all the bookstores. But I couldn’t find anything… Everybody wrote about standard marketing, like zombies. Some suggested making a good video and running it on TV, others suggested… Eh… Standard methods… But I didn’t give up… I spent a lot of time learning about free advertising and… Do you think I succeeded?

Of course, I didn’t…

My fountain still wasn’t working…

I tried to go to the training, but they taught me the standard methods of paying for ads. I’m not saying I haven’t tried using paid advertising. In my 20 years in marketing, I’ve bought a lot of ads, but it felt unnatural, I didn’t want to offer discounts like IKI and Maxima. I needed something more honest/real that gets other people to promote me, word of mouth. I needed an ad-free ad, which is possible by the way, but… How?

My desire to solve this riddle was greater than the Statue of Liberty, so I started to learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn, learn. I’ve read hundreds of articles on advertising. I’ve invested in many advertising tools. One of the tools was on-page optimization—called SEO.

SEO stands for “search engine optimization.” I’ve spent a long time delving into the intricacies of SEO. I learned how to write SEO articles, send backlinks/links to my website, and… I worked on SEO for over a year and… It worked… many visitors STARTED FINDING ME ON GOOGLE SEARCHES FOR FREEEE!!! Oh yes!!!

At first, my services were found only in Lithuania.  But I wanted them to find me abroad, so I drilled a deeper borehole, so to speak, and the fountain of clients began to gush even more… (By the way, I’m so glad you, reader, understand metaphors.) Soon I had visitors from America, France, Norway, and… Monaco.

Can you imagine, people found me in a Google search for FREEEE!! Other people paid for Google Ads and I didn’t pay!!!

I have received orders from companies such as Travel Visa Pro and Pivot Capital Fond… I have achieved my goal!!! And the most interesting thing was that after optimization, I was able to enjoy ten years of traffic WITHOUT ANY INTERVENTIONS! Even though I did nothing to the website, the customers kept coming—organically.

As my page has been visited organically, I suggest you pay attention to the word “organic”…

It…

ORGANIC LOVE…

Organic marketing…

Mmmmmmmm.

Only what is organically born is perfect…

What happens organically…

What matures organically…

BUT, once there was a complication.

I received a letter from Monaco, from the Monaco Art Gallery, where Frank Sinatra and other greats used to shop. In the letter, they asked me to create a logo, for a start. However, we couldn’t get along and the clients suggested coming to Monaco. I agreed.

While in Monaco, I realized that it was all about optimizing my website and using organic marketing. If I hadn’t done SEO for my page, then nobody would have found me on Google, and I wouldn’t have gotten the invitation to Monaco, and I wouldn’t have made new friends. In other words, optimizing my website has helped me make a lot of friends all over the world.

Realizing this, I thought, “What if I help others get on Google? After all, I can change people’s lives.” And I started providing SEO services… I’ve learned a lot over the years… In 2020, I was no longer tempted by web development, so I sold my old company and focused only on website optimization, and a service that nobody offered, I’m talking about organic marketing. I started to create regular sources of customers for my clients through organic marketing practices. Contact me and my team here.
